Sandra, I do enjoy seeing these items that you create! I do like the fabric for your daughter's jacket. In the summer I often grab a baseball cap when running to the mailbox, if it is raining. I actually have a few baseball style caps, My favorite is an official navy NASA cap. Being more than a bit of a space cadet it seems the right cap for me! :-) I also have a simple brimmed 'crushable' hat that I bought from the Vermont Country Store catalog some years ago. It is surprisingly warm and feels good in most weather. Being a bus rider, it is nice to have handy, when I don't know what the weather is going to be like while waiting for the bus.

Thank you, Sandy. I love your description of ball caps too. I have a few, but rarely wear them. They're great for sun protection though. I can't wait to finish Stormy's jacket and share photos.

Looking forward to seeing Stormy's jacket and your newsboy cap, too! I have a thought on giving the plaid cloche a little 'ease' for a better fit. Perhaps you could open a seam or two at the back and insert sections of elastic to have their end sewn down and leave the seams unfinished. That could allow the hat to have a little breathing room.

Thank you! I really appreciate your giving so much thought to it. Actually, now that I've trimmed the seams and added the ribbon to the inside of the brim, it fits just fine.

Even better! That's perfect! Good to know you now have it for our oh so cold weather. Wishing you mugs of hot cocoa as needed! :-)

Like the plaid cloche. Looks like it will suit your face to perfection. I am a hatman. Must post some pics. What you do with your hands has to be good for dexterity at our age. Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated.🐰

Well, the plaid cloche is a bit tight because it was a mock up for a hat I made for someone with a smaller head than mine, but after I put in the trim, I'll put it on and take a selfie. Not my favorite style, but it will be plenty warm! My favorite hat for myself is the newsboy cap, which I won't finish until I finish the daughter's jacket. You're welcome for the kind words, you deserve all the kindness.

I’m intrigued by the tulle hat! Any chance we could get a shot of your modeling it??

I will ask someone. I'm not much good at selfies, especially from side or back. But it does deserve to be seen on a human!
