Sandra, please keep sharing your writing! There is so much of you in this post that I want to hear more. Lots more!

Good for you to reschedule your BD! My family has always been very loosie-goosy with BDs and all other holidays for that matter. We defiantly ride with ''It's the thought that counts." On that note, may I wish you a belated and future Happy Birthday! 🤩🎈🎁✨🎈🤗

I’m sorry there was no party. I always enjoy your stories, Sandra. I especially liked reading about your trip to Turkey. I’m glad you were able to travel.

Happy birthday, Sandra. It's a pity the party couldn't happen, but I love the idea of having a celebration in June. We should all celebrate ourselves more! :)

Sandra, I am so happy to have found your writing. I live in Portland as well, and really appreciate your reflections and perspectives on life as someone who has lived more of it than I have. Your Santa letter deeply delighted me. Please keep writing and sharing!

Sandra, yes, the weather was awful, even without Covid. (Best wishes to all who are suffering from Covid!) Having a late-December birthday myself, the idea of a second birthday makes sense. As a child, I did get used to relatives forgetting about mine, and their gifts would drift in over the next six months or so after the actual event, which made for excitement fed by anticipation of substantially more generous gifts due to that occasionally useful emotion: guilt.

And yes, please continue to share your work!

Best wishes, always--

Post what you write Sandra. Eg. The Santa letter. Old Nick is the Devil and St. Nicholas is Santa Claus. Is that a coincidence? I don’t think so. I think the Devil is behind the whole thing. All that mayhem, extra work for women, spending money, disappointment, arguments, too much drink, grumpy kids. Take the 25th December out of the calendar and make the world a happier place for millions!

P.S. As for that nasty little brother of yours. Get in there first! That’s what I would tell if I was Father Christmas ❤️🐰

We're ready to party when time comes from another try. We were locked down with COVID ourselves that cold week ... Love you.
