So many books on your list I've been wanting to read! At present I'm in the middle of the marvelous A Tale for the Time Being, by Ruth Ozeki, which I think you'd enjoy. Its style is what they used to call postmodern, back in the 20th century: multiple narratives, parallel storylines that nevertheless intersect, mixed genres. But it's not chillingly literary; the beating red heart of the novel is palpable from the very start. Maybe something for you 2025 list? I bet it's already as lengthy as mine.
I do have a pretty tall stack of books at my bedside, all or mostly light reading because I'll be knee deep in the Cromwell Trilogy for most of the year. I figure I'll have time to read some lightweight novels along the way though. Thanks for the recommendation!
It's good to hear you're liking Amy Stewart's book. I pre-ordered it from Broadway Books and was able to get a signed copy. I've not started reading it yet, but look forward to doing so soon. (So many books on my TBR list!). Appreciate the bookshop.org link! Hope the new year treats you well!!
Happy New Years Eve Eve Sandra! Wonderful list of intriguing titles. Thanks for the bookshop.org link!!! It's a keeper! Amy Stewart's The Tree Collectors sounds wonderful and made for me! I will be checking it out in the New Year! Wishing you a bit of snap, crackle, pop as we sail into 2025!
