I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I've chosen my word for the year: Gratitude. I've been keeping a daily gratitude journal for more than a year now, which has helped immensely with my outlook on life. Continuing to focus on gratitude seems like the best thing for me.
I no longer make resolutions. I'm not going to make an end of the year summary.
I'm gearing up for what looks like a tumultuous political year ahead of us. I quieten my fears by trying to stay in the moment, by being thankful for what is, right now.
I'm grateful for every subscriber, free or paid. I appreciate your taking the time to read my words. I wish the best for each and every one of you.
Since next week is not another holiday, I'm not sure what I'll write about next week. Do you have a preference?

I enjoy your daily gratitude posts on Facebook - they remind me of all the goodness in our ordinary days. My word for 2924 is grounded - to stay grounded through the challenges the world is facing and to change the ground in my yard as we plant more trees and add garden beds.
