My joy for the week: being with friends, here. Like you. Thank you, Sandra.

What would we do without our friends? Like-minded souls who listen.

Sandra, you know what I love about live theater? That it’s so quintessential human. That we want to do that for each other. I read somewhere that the only other animals who perform for each other in this way (meaning for the sheer joy of it, unrelated to mating, etc.) are dolphins…..and crows!

I love that. I want to see crow theatre! We have plenty of crows in our neighborhood (several friend crows who visit us in our yard every day). Do you suppose they'll let me in? And dolphins! How fun is that? Thank you, Mead for telling me about this.

Oh Sandra, I cannot tell you how much we are alike in not wanting to know what we (you and I) were afraid the election might hold. I too, didn't follow the news and hoped for a good surprise, though felt even if that were the case there might be terrible backlash. sigh But here we are and I am grateful for a place like this to know I am not alone or the only sane one left on the planet. Thank you for your post today. It helps! Would have loved to see the play with you. The concept alone has much to consider. I will be looking for further adventures in sewing your Chanel jackets! And a few freshly made sweet treats along the way! Whatever it takes to get through this!

Thank you, Sandy. We are so not alone. Each of us must find out own path back to equanimity, and I hope we all get there. We have work to do.
